Next trip to the vet, buyer beware:
There are many basic words that you should be aware of in visiting your vet and this may save a life. If your vet pushes you to use any of these, get out the door as fast as you can - -call us and find a holistic vet that doesn't push unnecessary drugs:
RIMADYL (CALLED RIMAKILL ON THE INTERNET)
DERMAXX
METACAM
PRED (SHORT FOR prednisone) or cortizone
7-WAY VACCINE OR 5-WAY VACCINE (2 or 3 way is acceptable for puppies. Never give another vaccine without the results of a yearly titer).
RABIES Do everything you can to avoid a vaccine till near a year of age, and then never get another one. Within 3 to 4 years, there should be some success in baning this dog killer through the Dr. Jean Dodds Rabies challenge Fund.
FRONTLINE
ADVANTAGE and any other applied tick/flea prevention
SENTINEL
TRIFEXIX
REVOLUTION
OTOMAX (EAR CLEANER THAT CAN CAUSE DEAFNESS)
HEARTGUARD or other heartworm preventative (check out the NATURAL liquid now available from www.hampl.com.au or other online resources you can google)
DIP, Spot On or any any-flea application in shampoo. Good thing to remember: if you can’t pronounce or spell it, don’t put it in your mouth or on your body!!!
